Fotolia Desktop is an application based on Adobe Air where you can search for photos, illustrations, vectors, and videos available for purchase.

The price depends on the size and quality of the material you're interested in. It's two credits (€2.40) for smaller pictures and up to 50 credits (€60) for movies in HD.

The Fotolia database is pretty impressive and includes, for example, over 250,000 results if you search for 'silhouette' (elements that are very useful for graphic design).

Fotolia Desktop is an interesting application for professional photographers and graphic designers, though less serious users may not care to pay for this kind of material.
